Wow. I just noticed what odd emoticons there are on this forum!

Oh--sorry. I should be introducing myself. I get off topic quite easily and I'm prone to acting like a four year old. Haha.

Well, I'm Roselynn. You can call me Rose or Lynn (which happens to be my middle name with the "e" on the end! Because I don't like the "e"). My name is Carly and I'm an aspiring writer, like I'm sure all of you are. I'm going into my senior year of high school and currently rushing through my AP European History homework that I put off for all of summer vacation.

I mainly write articles and journalistic pieces because I hope to get a career in journalism, either as a Copy Editor or as a reporter. However, I despise broadcast journalism and I will only accept print journalism! I also enjoy writing essays and my own creative pieces. I'm working on my novel, but I haven't had much time to write because of how busy I've been this summer. I plan to discipline my writing habits some more.

Other than writing, I love reading. George Orwell is my favorite author (and it makes me even happier that we're quite similar politically!) and I absolutely love 1984 and many of his essays, particularly "Politics and the English Language."

I also love music, and Muse is my favorite band. (I'm listening to them as I type!)

Um...I like many things so it's hard to pick a few to talk about.

If I think of anything else to add, I will! I'm currently rushing through this as a friend drives over to pick me up so we can go see P.S. I love you and then talk to my boyfriend to celebrate our three year anniversary.

That was a good essay. We had to read it for AP English -- very well stated. Though I'm not a fan of 1984.... but reading totally. Post away in the Draft's reading/book forums. [And of course the writing....]

Oh, and I realized that I'm stupid. My anniversary is on Sept. 20, not August. My boyfriend thought I was an idiot when I was all, "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!" I got a good laugh out of it, though. After working on homework for a straight 7 hours, my brain exploded yesterday and thought that a whole month had gone by!

I'm not in school yet. I start senior year on Monday. I'm pretty excited.

Who are your ficitonal crushes? As far as books, go I'd have to say I'm one of the many girls who absolutely LOVES Edward Cullen. My other old fictional crushes are Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho and Eyes Rutherford from Spiral because I'm an anime freak. I also love Light from Death Note.
Do you like Star Wars (lie if you have to-jk)? YES!!!! I thought Luke was a whiny brat, though. Obi Wan was definitely the coolest. And Padme was just awesome.
Do you like Supernatural? I don't believe in the supernatural, but I definitely think it's interesting.
What song helps you write the most? It depends on what I'm writing. But right now, I tend to listen to mostly Muse, Nine Inch Nails, and Within Temptation while I write.

That's Luke (Skywalker of course) that's Dante (the big platinum blonde, but not as awesome as me, he wears a red coat and...looks like he's got a cowboy thing going on today...are those chaps? Nevermind, I don't want to know.) That's Dean over there, the short one, the 'shoot first ask questions later' guy, the one who's currently in Apolla's icon...I must change that.... and I'm Aleksandr Kourik, call me Alek. We make appearances in the Draft, so you'll get to know us pretty quickly...we're kinda talkative. So, welcome on behalf of ALDD (notice I'm first because I'm awesome)!
