| I'm Lynn, and I write everything from sci fi to historical romance. However, my first published novel is a vampire romance meets psychic mystery. 'Grave Desire' I'm from Michigan (but born in Illinois). Spent 10 years in the Air Force and have been a social worker for 11 years with the State of Michigan. I'm married to a fire fighter and have two kids. I love reading and writing - always have. I also like doing crosswords and playing on the Wii. I don't love whiners, can't stand negative attitudes, and hate people who don't know how to drive in the snow. My favorite color is green, mainly because it's the color of my eyes. It is a lively color, with so many shades. I wish I could quit working and just write all the time. And never run out of original ideas... | |

| Well, guys, we finally have a published author among our ranks!!
Alek: I'm shaking in my shoes...with envy. Me: You don't even write. Alek: I can still be jealous.
Welcome! I shall look up your book - care to provide a link to where I could order it? Is it available for Nook?
Also - high five, another Michigander!!
Well, um, I'm Apolla, these are my boys:
Alek: I'm Russian, I'm also Apolla's creation - from, we're working on six novels about me now, right? Luke: I'm Luke, I'm not one of Apolla's characters - actually, Alek's the only one of her characters with whom she continually writes about who appears on the Draft. I'm from Star Wars and I've been her imaginary friend since she was seven. Dean: I'm Dean, I'm not Apolla's creation - I'm from Supernatural. But when she just needs to write, she scribbles out a story about me. Sometimes. Dante: I'm Dante, and like the two before me, I don't belong to Apolla. I'm from Devil May Cry - a video game, and she keeps me around for my snark.
(I only write with the intention to publish anything about Alek. I was bored one day and tried to see how he would interact with characters outside my own creations and these four just kind of banded together. I introduced their quirky conversations to the Draft a while ago and since people seem to like them, I keep it up. So, don't be surprised if you see their comments. However, upon each introduction, I offer a disclaimer on Luke, Dean, and Dante, I don't own them.)
I hope you enjoy your time on the Draft!!

| Hey there Lynn, welcome to the WD I'm JB the sites admin so if you have any questions, pm me any time and I'll be happy to answer them for you. Congratulations on getting published! Yes, please share the link to your book so we can all check it out! And I can definitely relate to being annoyed with bad drivers who insist on driving in the snow (I'm in Ontario, Canada, so I've seen a couple of those this season). Glad to have you here and a part of the group | |

That is awesome your hubby is a firefighter. Kind of has the same schedule style my hubby has with being gone a lot overnight right? My hubby is an airline pilot, so I totally understand all that stuff. Do you mind me asking how old your kiddos are? I have one who is 5 and one on the way due in May. I wish I could handle crosswords, they frustrate me so much. I'm much better with word searches anyway. But the Wii is a lot of fun, especially when watching hubby get frustrated with the sensor not recognizing something he did. And I wish original ideas were a thing that no one ran out of...especially in Hollywood these days. Good luck with your first published book! That's a great accomplishment! Totally relate to people who can't drive in the snow. I hate driving in the snow but can if need be. I grew up in Utah and all the California transplants think it's still okay to go crazy fast when the snow and ice are piling up.

| Thanks for all the hello's! I am actually self-published - it is an eBook and you can find it at http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/39392 'Grave Desire' You get a free sample, and you can download it to the Nook, Kindle, PC, iPod... just about every eReader there is right from smashwords. Use code SE662G to save 10% if you decide to download the whole book.I actually grew up in Illinois, went in the Air Force for 10 years, and my husband was originally from Michigan - so that's where we settled down. Hubby only works 9 days a month, but he's gone 24 hours at a time. My daughter is almost 14 and my son just turned 9. They keep me laughing, and I use some of their weird sayings in my writing. I can't wait to share ideas with everyone... | |
